Learning To Do Basic Yoga Inversion: Crow Pose

One of the best inversions for beginners to spend time learning is Crow Pose.  This posture teaches you how to balance, how to engage your core while correctly using your shoulder girdle, and provides you with the foundations you need to move onto more challenging inversions, which will open your mind and body even more. It’s important to remember that in any yoga pose the most important aspect is not getting into the “final pose” but about being mindful throughout the journey.  It’s easy to get frustrated and give up if you focus only on the end result.  So take your time as your work up to Crow Pose.  Remember that there are lots of pieces to this pose so it’s okay if you don’t get it right away (most people don’t!). Most of all – have fun!
